Yup, this thing's still on...

In the nine months since I last updated this, many things have happened. First, I got married on January 7th. Our original plan for some time had been to get married in July, but thanks to health insurance issues, we ended up pushing it forward with a whopping week-and-a-half notice.

We were married at the Erna Nixon Park by one of our friends (who got ordained for this) in a very low-key ceremony that was sorted out the night before.

Seven months later, on our original date of July 28th, we held our formal reception. I managed to get my immediate family to show up, and a grand time was had by all. We didn't invite many people -- mostly family and some local friends -- but the food was good, and a grand time was had by all.

Speaking of food, we were catered by Van Gogh's Creative Cafe, a local eatery that I highly recommend. Even the leftovers were yummy.

I also have to thank our host, Jim Egan, yet again. He let us use his organization's (Marine Resources Council) headquarters and educational center for our reception. Jim's a force of nature in his own right, and his passion for the environment is nothing short of amazing.
