"Marriage is the triumph of imagination over intelligence. Second marriage is the triumph of hope over experienece."
Last night, I asked Kimberly to marry me. She said yes.
We were thrust together by sheer chance, and despite being outwardly very different people, we found in each other a refuge from the storms of our lives. A refuge that grew into a place of strength and peace; a place of love and passion that has only grown more intense during our time together.
We've been building a home together these past few months. Settling in as a family. A family we both want to grow.
...Having a real sense of a future with someone is a daunting, yet exciting prospect. Our dreams are becoming real, anchored by our common strength and our love.
Oh, here's a little something to make y'all jealous!
I love you, Kimberly. You've made me a happy man indeed.
Hmm. I think it's high time I told my parents about her... tonight, after work, I think.
